Wie ich schon vor Jahren bei der Durchführung von internationalen Marktabklärungen feststellte, war die offizielle US-Statistik des Census Bureau den europäischen Statistikämtern weit voraus, wobei inzwischen die EU und auch das BFS enorme Fortschritte gemacht haben. Doch dieses überparteiliche, not-for-profit- Bürgerprojekt ist ein Muster für Transparenz in zugänglicher Form in Zeiten grassierender Fake News. Wer dem Staat nicht notorisch Intransparenz unterstellt, wir hier fündig. Als interessierter Zeitgenosse kann man Daten und Verhältnisse abfragen und versuchen, den Kontext zu verstehen.
